What we collect

When you register, we collect your full name, email address, mobile phone number, and the house/chapter you select. When you check in to a game, we collect a single location reading to confirm you are at the event venue. We also store a random device identifier on your phone so the same device cannot check in twice for one game.

How we use it

We use this information to credit your house for attendance, run leaderboards, send you the text messages you request, and help organizers verify who checked in at each event. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

SMS messaging and mobile numbers

When you provide your mobile number and tap “Send my code,” you expressly consent to receive SMS text messages from Aztec Link at the number you provided. Messages contain one-time 6-digit verification codes used to verify your identity when you register or sign in. You will receive one message each time you request a code. We do not send promotional or marketing text messages. Message and data rates may apply.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your mobile phone number is never sold, rented, loaned, or shared with anyone outside the small team operating Aztec Link, except for the messaging service providers (such as Twilio) that deliver the text messages on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Opting out and getting help

You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts. Reply START to resubscribe. For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at the email below.

Location data

Your location is read only when you tap Check In and is used solely to confirm you are within the event geofence. We do not track your location continuously, and we do not sell or share location data.

Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), hashed one-time codes, and row-level access controls on our database. Access to personal information is limited to the small team operating Aztec Link.

Retention and deletion

Attendance records are retained for the active season so organizers can run reports. You can ask us to delete your registration data at any time by contacting the email below, and we will remove it within a reasonable period.

Children

Aztec Link is intended for college students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted at https://app.azteclink.com/privacy with its last-updated date.
